About AI

My Aspiration is simply this, "Inspiration."

Inspiration for myself. Inspiration to be more creative. Inspiration to share my ideas and what I have learned so I can hopefully provide inspiration for someone else.

Hi, I'm Rachel. I'm the voice of Aspiration Inspiration. I thought I'd share a little bit about myself.

As my profile states, I'm a 27 year-old, stay at home mom that dabbles. Sewing, stamping, paper crafts, card making, toll painting, digital designs... I love all things crafty! My obsession with crafting started a LONG time ago. As the 8th child from a family of 10 children, (8 of which are girls, mind you) I started collecting my craft stash at a rather young age.

Luckily, my husband is supportive. He agreed to marry me - ALL of me - including all my "stuff."

Speakin' of the hubs, Brian and I met in high school. He is DREAMY and {inspires} me to be my best. I'm a lucky girl! He is wonderful! We've been married just over 6 years now and have been blessed with 2 adorable, handsome, rough-housin' little boys! Sometimes we call the 4 year-old "Mr. Giggles" and the nearly-2-year-old "Little Man." They light up my life. And, they terrorize my craft room on a regular basis because, obviously, if mom is in the craft room, they should be too...  It is all too easy for me to use them as my excuse to put off projects. But I need to create. It is my outlet. So, hopefully this blog will help me find balance. My kiddos are a lot of help, but I can't imagine my life without them!

What else defines me?

I'm a Registered Nurse. I graduated about 2 weeks after gettin' hitched & worked for about 5 1/2 years in Labor & Delivery. I truly loved my job, but love being a mother more. I felt {inspired} to stop working last summer and have not regretted that decision for even a second since!

I am a devout Christian. I find so much peace and happiness in the teachings of Jesus Christ. If you're interested in learning more about my beliefs, you can visit mormon.org

As a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I currently serve as the Primary Chorister in my ward. Each week I have the opportunity to work with the children, teaching them the gospel through songs! Best. Calling. Ever! I will use my blog from time to time to post ideas for Primary.

I've arranged a co-op preschool with a few families in our neighborhood and take my turn teaching six 3-4 year-olds every few weeks. I'll try to share any "wow" ideas I come up with.

Not only do I come from a large family, my husband does too. All of the women are extremely talented and provide plenty of {inspiration} for me!

I have a great love for music. It's another thing I "dabble" in. I play the piano, organ (sort of), violin, and sing. I would love to learn a few more instruments as well...

I am definitely far-from-perfect. But I love being creative.
